Giving Thanks!
I know at this time of year there are many places to give and volunteer and one such place I found in my Facebook Inbox this morning. I have some friends that will be joining me in putting together a Thanksgiving meal for a family. If you would like to join in financially please let me know! If you would like to check out the opportunity please see below... it is the email I received today:
I think this is going to be fun!!
Over the past few years, 7|22 has partnered with Stirred-Up Ministries to provide Thanksgiving dinner for inner-city Atlanta families who may otherwise not have a Thanksgiving meal. 7|22 may no longer be meeting, but Next Is Now! By adopting a family for Thanksgiving, you will be partnering with Stirred-Up Ministries to help them reach people no one else is reaching.
Interested in adopting a family for Thanksgiving and providing them with a Thanksgiving meal? Here is how it works:
• Each basket costs around $100, so we encourage you to recruit several of your friends or small group to adopt a family together.
• Arrange a time for your group to grocery shop and deliver the basket.
• The basket needs to be delivered to Stirred-Up Ministries before next Tuesday, November 25th.
• Once you get your group together, reply to this e-mail with your name, e-mail and phone number.
• We will e-mail you the name of the family you are adopting, instructions, and a shopping list.
We hope that you decide to partner with Stirred-Up Ministries and adopt a family for Thanksgiving!
I think this is going to be fun!!

Bright Futures
This morning I went with my friend Amy and her boyfriend Adam to Bright Futures to volunteer. Both Amy and Adam had volunteered here in the past thru Buckhead Church and they really enjoyed it. They picked me up and we headed over. I wasn't sure what to expect but I had a great time!! When we got there the director told us a little bit about the camp... basically its designed to bring hope to the inner-city youth of Atlanta. That's a mission I can get on board with!!

There were many different jobs however Amy and I were commissioned to re-stain the deck you see in the picture above. Unfortunately we don't have a before and after picture because the stain job looks amazing!! We rocked it out!
