Christmas in November
I was fortunate enough to be able to fly home this weekend to see family!! Woo hoo!! I had a great time hanging out with everyone, chatting, catching up, watching football, playing games, eating (and eating and eating). I couldn't have asked for a better weekend. Here are some pictures to recap
Everyone who could make it!
Out the window
Grandma explaining Snipp, Snapp & Snurr
Playing games & working on the Blackberry.
Wes and I hanging in the family room
My Mom's always the score keeper (amazing
that she wins so much of the time...)
In the basement
Giving my Pops a kiss!
Merry Christmas
Always playing games

Miranda & Joe's Alice in Wonderland Party
I had the best time at Miranda & Joe's Pre-Halloween Alice in Wonderland Party. A gathering of great friends and a fun time!! I got to drink tea with the Mad Hatter, play crocket with the Queen of Hearts, and watch a movie with some Indians (ok, not quite sure how that played into the movie but it was fun anyway).
You can check out the rest of the pictures here.

Sugar Shack
Some fun times around town with Kamaria and Tim. We hit up Raging Burrito then Sugar Shack. I wasn't the biggest fan of R.B. - to me it was just like any other burrito joint, except they didn't want to work with me on what I wanted. Whateva...
Kamaria, Tim and I did have some fun taking photos though...

Fusion
I'm in a Fusion group this Fall with Buckhead Church. What is Fusion?? Well, it's a smaller group (50-100) singles in my area of town and in my age group that get together outside of church either on Sunday for the group or other days of the week for socials and have a lot of fun. A great way to get to meet new people and shrink the size of the church. Here are some pictures from our first fusion gathering...
With Dominick (who is going to Cambodia with Me)
and Valarie (one of our fearless leaders)
Christina, Dominick, Erin, Pho and ??
I had a great time as a volunteer for F1 (or Fusion #1). I got to greet people as they came thru the door and hand them a paper to play human bingo. Everyone was so talkative and social... how much fun! And it was great to see existing friends and new ones.
And then on Wednesday we met again for our first social at Fellini's Pizza. I, of course, had a slice of cheeseless pizza and great conversation with the people who sat around me.

VJ & ME
It has taken forever for VJ and I to find a time that works for each of us to get together however we made it happen spontaneously last Saturday. We had a great time watching football first at Taco Mac then at Hudson Grill. Even had a quick second for a photo op...
And look, I'm even wearing short!! Haha!

Busy as a bee
I've been busy. So of course there has been a lax in posting. Basically, when I have down time... oh wait, that hasn't been able to happen. I can't complain though as I have enjoyed everything I have been doing. Well, except for the laundry I did today.
Jennie, Preston and I are fully moved in and coming to a routine. This weekend our power was shut off because of an issue between our management company and the power company however management put Jennie and I up in a hotel room for the night, took care of Preston, and helped us move our food to an empty unit so I can't complain too much. It did take a chunk out of the weekend however we got a free breakfast at the hotel out of the deal... and last night Teesha and Joel came over to the hotel to chat and catch up. I keep looking at the 4 of us in the hotel room, chatting and acting like everything was normal. And I realized again how lucky I am. That home for me is not in 4 walls but in my friends who I have surrounding me. I feel so blessed to have such amazing friends (and one fabulous roommate)!! And that God provide for me wherever I am. He can always find me. Even in a hotel about 2 miles from where I currently call home.
Last weekend I drove down to Destin, Florida for Labor Day Retreat with my church. I can't say enough great things about the time we spent down there. Weather was beautiful!! Perry Noble was the speaker and he rocked our socks off!!
The beach was fantastic!! The socials were great, the food was good, and I had an amazing time catching up with Abby and LeAnn, as we drove there and back together and Abby made me lunches.
I also got to connect with a few guys I've meet throughout the summer at different events and met some new people as well. I felt so blessed being there. And, I've uploaded the photos here...

SURPRISE!!!!
I feel so blessed!!! I have the best friends... seriously, the best!!! Jennie & Teesha put together a surprise party for me this weekend and they got me good!!
They told me they were both too busy to actually plan the day so it was just going to be the 3 of us for dinner. Jennie spent Thursday asking me all sorts of questions about what I want to do, where I'd want to go. Then on Friday Teesha had to "work late" so she would just meet us at dinner. And the weather changed what we had decided to do the day before so they made an executive decision to go to Eclipse De Luna.
Friday night Jennie was text messaging Teesha who was "at work" to find out when she would be able to get out to meet us so we had a drink at happy hour at the condo.
Then she got the text that Teesha was ready to meet us so we headed over. As we walked into Eclipse there was someone at the bar who looked familiar however they were facing the other direction. Next I hear Jennie say, "there's Teesha" and then I hear "SURPRISE!!!!!" It took me a minute to put it all together but I was completely surprised!!! So many of my friends had gathered to celebrate my birthday. And as this weekend has progressed I've heard more and more stories of people who were in cahoots with Teesha and Jennie!!
I haven't quite decided if its a good thing or a bad thing that my friends are so good at lying to me... haha!!!
Jennie had even made cupcakes for me...
And we did a bit of dancing...
I had a blast at dinner, the company was amazing, the food was spectacular, and I felt so loved!!! THANK YOU!!!!
Check out the pictures I have now (these are from Jennie's camera). Mario also took pictures so once I have them from him I'll upload those and let you know!

Post-Skydiving Range Shooting
What better way to cap off a great Saturday of skydiving than to go to the range! Haha!!! Bennett joined my parents, Zach and me for a fun hour shooting guns...
In this picture Zach is showing me how to shoot a rifle... in my sparkly dress!!
What else did my parents and I do this weekend??? Well, we went to Fat Matt's Thursday night and then just hung out at the apartment. Jennie and Jeff stopped by for a few cocktails on the roof.
Rise-N-Dine was for brunch on Friday and ran into Marcus on his lunch break. We all really liked Rise-N-Dine!! It was yummy!! Then we spent the day shopping and finished out the night with dinner at Via with Jennie. Via was horrible... save yourself and don't go!!
Saturday was skydiving, shooting, and the dinner at Fox Brother's BBQ. I am so excited about shooting... my Dad bought me a Smith & Wesson .22 revolver so I was practicing with that. Dad and I were also able to shoot Zach's 9mm and rifle and Bennett's 45. We had a blast shooting all the different guns. Dinner was with Bennett, Marcus, Marthalynn and Julia. I hadn't been to Fox however I've heard only good things about it. In my opinion, it doesn't beat Fat Matt's for ribs however it did for the sides!
Sunday after church my parents and I went to Panahar for their first Bangladeshi experience. And they really liked it!! Of course I did too... but it wasn't my first experience! Haha!! We ran some errands during the day and then hung out on the roof before a major storm blew in and we went to Pizzeria Venti with Jennie for dinner.
It was another fun weekend with the parents!! Preston was very happy they were in town too... they do a great job at spoiling him!!! Hahah!!
